Freshdesk Pricing (2026): Every Plan and What It Really Costs

Posted by

·

Freshdesk pricing starts at $19/agent/mo on annual billing (Growth). Every figure on this page was checked against Freshdesk’s own pricing page on 2026-09-28, and the date is on the page so you can judge how stale it is. Below: what each plan costs, what the step up actually buys you, and what the headline price leaves out.

There is no free plan — evaluation runs on a 14-day trial that opens on the Enterprise tier. Read the allowance rather than the label — what runs out first is usually what forces the upgrade.

What each upgrade actually costs

Tier lists tend to hide the only number that matters when you are choosing: the difference between the plan you are on and the next one up, over a year.

Growth → Pro costs $36 more a month, or $432 a year. What you get for it: Expanded capability · first tier where Freddy AI Copilot can be added · includes 500 Freddy AI Agent sessions once per account

Pro → Enterprise costs $34 more a month, or $408 a year. What you get for it: Full capability, governance and support · Freddy AI Copilot available as an add-on

What the headline price leaves out

Freddy AI Copilot is not available on Growth at all and costs about $29 an agent on Pro and Enterprise — more than the entire Growth plan.

Recent pricing changes

On annual billing in 2026 Freshdesk runs Growth at $19, Pro at $55 and Enterprise at $89 per agent a month for the core email and ticketing line, with no free plan. Freshdesk Omni, the omnichannel suite, is priced at $29, $79 and $119 per agent a month annually. Freddy AI remains a paid add-on rather than an included capability: Freddy AI Copilot, the agent-side assistant, costs approximately $29 per agent a month annually and is not available on the Growth plan, unlocking only on Pro and Enterprise. Freddy AI Agent includes the first 500 sessions on Pro and Enterprise once per account, after which additional sessions bill at $49 per 100. Reported real costs are consistently higher than the advertised entry because most teams add Freddy AI Copilot, purchase additional AI Agent sessions, or move to Freshdesk Omni for multichannel support.

Which plan is right for you

The paid tiers are worth it for Support teams whose core need is ticketing, queues and SLAs; Organisations wanting real help desk depth at a low entry price. For those uses the plan pays for itself in time saved rather than features unlocked.

It is a poor fit for teams comparing on headline price without adding the ai cost; and for small teams wanting ai assistance, given copilot's growth exclusion. Paying for a tier whose headline feature you will not use is the most common way software budgets leak.

Is Freshdesk worth the money?

Our reviewers rated Freshdesk 3.5/5. Ticketing depth at a genuinely low entry price. $19 an agent buys a real help desk, not a chat widget with a queue attached. The full assessment — what it does well, where it falls down and who should avoid it — is in our Freshdesk review.

How we check pricing

We read the vendor’s own pricing page rather than repeating a third-party summary, record the date, and re-check on a schedule — which is how we catch a tier being renamed or retired. The figures behind this page are published as a machine-readable catalog so that AI assistants quoting them can quote something current.
