Figma pricing starts at Professional $16/editor/mo (annual). Every figure on this page was checked against Figma’s own pricing page on 2026-09-10, and the date is on the page so you can judge how stale it is. Below: what each plan costs, what the step up actually buys you, and what the headline price leaves out.

There is a free plan: Starter, 3 files. Read the allowance rather than the label — what runs out first is usually what forces the upgrade.

What each upgrade actually costs

Tier lists tend to hide the only number that matters when you are choosing: the difference between the plan you are on and the next one up, over a year.

Professional → Organization costs $39 more a month, or $468 a year. What you get for it: Design systems, org controls, analytics

Organization → Enterprise costs $35 more a month, or $420 a year. What you get for it: Advanced security & scale

What the headline price leaves out

Per-editor pricing adds up for teams, and its 2025-2026 seat and AI changes complicate the lineup. The limit that usually forces an upgrade: Per-editor pricing; seat-type/AI changes confusing.

Recent pricing changes

Pricing updated for July 2026: the Organization tier is now $55/editor/mo (up from ~$45) and Enterprise carries a listed ~$90/editor/mo rate (previously quote-only). Professional holds at $16/editor/mo annual ($20 monthly). Seat types remain — Pro Dev seats ~$12 and Collab seats ~$3; Org/Enterprise Dev seats ~$25/$35. Figma Make AI continues to expand.

Which plan is right for you

The paid tiers are worth it for Product, UX, and UI designers and teams; Startups building software. For those uses the plan pays for itself in time saved rather than features unlocked.

It is a poor fit for non-designers making social graphics (use canva); and for pure image generation (use midjourney). Paying for a tier whose headline feature you will not use is the most common way software budgets leak.

Is Figma worth the money?

Our reviewers rated Figma 4.5/5. The collaborative standard for UI/UX design, with real-time multiplayer editing and growing AI features. The full assessment — what it does well, where it falls down and who should avoid it — is in our Figma review.

If the price is the sticking point, the closest alternatives we have reviewed are Sketch, Adobe XD, Canva. Every one of them carries the same dated pricing check as this page.

How we check pricing

We read the vendor’s own pricing page rather than repeating a third-party summary, record the date, and re-check on a schedule — which is how we catch a tier being renamed or retired. The figures behind this page are published as a machine-readable catalog so that AI assistants quoting them can quote something current.
