What each upgrade actually costs

  • Basic to Professional adds $432 a year ($36 a month) per unit. 15,000 contact limit · everything in Basic plus workflow automation, bulk email, reporting and integrations
  • Professional to Business adds $480 a year ($40 a month) per unit. Unlimited contacts · everything in Professional plus email series, custom reports, multi-currency and premium support

What the headline price leaves out

  • The headline needs annual payment. Copper’s advertised figure is an annual rate shown as a monthly number; month-to-month billing costs more. How to tell which you are looking at.
  • It is per seat. The bill scales with headcount rather than usage, so the figure above is the cost of one person. What that does at ten people.
  • From our review. Contact caps bind hard. Basic stops at 2,500 contacts and Professional at 15,000, so growing teams get pushed to the $99 Business tier by database size rather than by features.
  • Renewal. An annual discount is granted for one year; ask what year two costs and whether it is capped.

Recent pricing changes

Copper’s pricing runs $23, $59 and $99 per seat per month on annual billing for Basic, Professional and Business, against monthly rates of $29, $69 and $134 — a saving of up to 26% for annual commitment. Google Workspace integration covering Gmail sync, the Chrome extension, Calendar, Contact sync and Drive and Sheets remains included across all three tiers rather than reserved for higher plans. Contact ceilings continue to define the upgrade path at 2,500 on Basic and 15,000 on Professional, with unlimited contacts available only on Business, and the vendor reports that 63% of customers begin on the Professional tier.

Which plan is right for you

  • Teams whose working day happens inside Gmail and Google Workspace
  • Small businesses wanting CRM and light project management together
  • Organisations where CRM adoption has previously failed through friction
  • Companies with modest, stable contact databases

How we check pricing

Every figure is read from Copper’s own pricing page and stamped with the date it was checked — 2026-10-16 for this page. We record what kind of figure each price is (a true monthly rate, an annual rate shown monthly, a usage rate or a quote-only placeholder), because a number without its basis is not comparable. Where a vendor publishes nothing we record nothing rather than repeating an estimate. The full dataset of 302 tools is public at /pricing-data.json under CC BY 4.0.
